CEO Andreas Forssell visits Kenya 

Andreas Forssell visited Better Globe Forestry in Kenya for a few days in November to follow up on the long-term cooperation between the organisations. The visit provided valuable insights into on-site operations and confirmed a shared commitment to sustainable forestry and a green future.

“It was valuable to spend a working week with Jean-Paul and the team at BGF, during which we also visited the plantation in Kiambere together with a selection of partner farmers. There, I was able to see the results of the team’s work on tree planting and related activities over many years.

There were many interesting discussions, and we reviewed BGF’s activities, both historically and looking ahead. I am impressed by the team that Jean-Paul has built around him – including a professional forestry engineer, a CFO, and an HR function.

They have created good conditions for running the operation with all employees, both permanent staff and temporary/day workers engaged as needed. It is clear that BGF carries out its mandate to manage TPS’s assets professionally, and it will be exciting to continue the collaboration with Jean-Paul and BGF in a dedicated role focused on business and strategy development.

It is also very positive that Rickard is taking on the responsibility as CEO of the company, which is a natural step in light of the ownership and Board changes that have taken place.” – Andreas Forsell.
